Christmas Gift

Sunlight streaming from above;
Snowflakes swirling all around;
Twinkling stars shine in the sky,
And the world with life goes on.
Christmas seasons come and go,
But the meaning still remains.
Let us spread the simple truth,
For the Story stays the same.

God so loved each one of us-
Love so great He paid the Price,
For the Gift to everyone,
When He gave His only Son.
Baby Jesus came to earth,
Came to be just like a man;
But His mission was much more-
Jesus came to save the world!

And the world gave Him no home,
Not to sleep nor stay to live,
For the world could hardly bear
All the truth He came to share.
Jesus suffered through it all,
But He did it still the same;
For He knew that what He did
Was just what would save the world.

And the people ’round Him laughed,
And they called Him many names.
Then they nailed Him to a cross,
And from God’s sight He was lost.

But then Jesus didn’t stay
Buried in the grave for long,
God has power over death,
For to man He gave first breath.
Now the Lord rules up on high,
Yet He’ll reign within your heart;
All you have to do is give-
Give it up and gain it all!

Jesus is our greatest gift,
For He is our only key;
God has given us the chance,
And the choice is every man’s.
Now the Gift is waiting still,
Every Christmas many see;
But what will you really do-
Will you just pass by it too?
