Current Contests

Continuing Story Contest
We're currently "accepting applicants" who want to take part in a continuing story contest. Read the rules/guidelines. The start date will be May 1 and the end date will be May 31. If you plan to take part, you'll need to register before April 30 with your plans to take part. Links to all the continuing short stories will be posted on the home page for everyone to see. The winner will receive $100 US dollars.

About Us

Author Spotlight

We're now starting to include a special "About the Author" spotlight in the upper left side of the page (example); tell us a little about yourself, and we'll include that information along with your creative work. Remember, however, that the information is public so keep that in mind when you choose what to publicly post regarding yourself.

If you are under 18, it is always best to ask your parents first for permission regarding what information you should include in your "About the Author" spotlight. Regardless of what you do send us, our policy regarding those under 18 is to not post last names, email addresses, phone numbers, complete addresses (we do post city, state & country information) and other personally identifiable data.

If you are over 18, we'll post personally identifiable data in your "About the Author" spotlight if you include that in the "About the Author" form section below.

Those Under 13

If you are under 13 and would like to use Mission FireFly, there are legal rules (the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) which we must comply with to permit that to happen. If you are under 13, your parents will need to either mail (address on our contact page) or fax signed, written permission granting you to post on Mission FireFly.
