Continuing Story Contest
$100 Prize
Mission FireFly introduces its $100 Continuing Story Contest. If you are interested in taking part in this contest and beginning your own personal continuing story, please register as soon as possible. We'll even post the link to your story on MF's home page so visitors can keep up to date with the latest entry for your story.
The contest begins May 1 at 12:01 AM EST and ends May 31 at 11:59 PM EST. Judges from Mission FireFly will then take 9 days to evaluate the stories and declare a winner on June 10. The winning author will be awarded with $100.00 US currency (paid by Paypal or within the States by Payal or a gift card of your choice).
Registration is open until all 10 contestant slots are filled. A minimum of 6 contestants are required before the contest can begin. Register now before it's too late!
Rules
1) The story must be an original story written by you. You can make submissions as frequently as you choose, adding each time to the story. This is an excellent way to build up a following as people keep checking your story section daily to read the "next installment." The final submission must be received before 11:59 PM EST on May 31, and the final submission must be the conclusion to your story. Incomplete stories are not eligible to be voted on by MF judges.
2) The story must be specifically written for Mission FireFly; this must be the first time it is published (on paper or on the internet)
3) The story must not contain any objectionable content or it will be deleted; the Mission FireFly staff retains the write to make any necessary edits and to moderate all submissions as deemed necessary
4) Between June 1 and June 9, Mission FireFly selected judges will evaluate all the stories with each judge awarding points to each story.
4) On June 10, points awarded for each story by all the judges will be totaled up with the author who received the most points for his/her story having their story featured on the home page of Mission FireFly. They will then have two weeks (through June 25) to contact the Mission FireFly staff and claim their $100 U.S. prize.
6) The prize will be sent by Paypal internationally or, if you prefer, by mail via a store gift card of your choice if you live in the United States.
