Nature’s Song

By Faith

Fields of fire-red poppies
dance in the spring breeze
under pure white clouds scattered across an azure blue sky.

The sun is pulsing
a ball of bright liquid light
radiating warmth.

Rolling hills blanketed
with soft green grass
sigh

and birds chirp with the crickets
together
a chorus in perfect harmony.

Leaves whisper to each other
in the cool breeze
while ants busily march
behind a moss covered rock.

A tall, graceful willow dips
toward the shining sapphire pond
beneath it
telling its story
as a doe bends down slowly
to drink from the silent crystal pool.

The sun’s rays reflect
on the water’s glassy surface
and you look around
stopping to hear this strange
yet alluring music.

Where is it coming from?
Everywhere.

Every living thing
moves to the same melody
every heart beats
to the same rhythm
They are God’s beautiful creation.

Listen! It is Nature’s song.
