Quietly she stays, observing with a smile
gleaming even the least bit of information or detail,
storing it away into her mind and heart
She sees those who pass the days with the same feeling-
the same exact emotion of apathetic repetition
spending life in a lackadaisical, lackluster haze
She sees those whose past becomes an obstruction to daily burdens
the heaviness of which the strongest men on Earth together could not overcome
with them all semblance of joy is sucked into their black hole of despair
Then there are some she sees who struggle violently against the rushing tide
And yet they fall to the ground in a pathetic heap
Crying out in their anguish and suffering…
and still not even a glance from passers-by
Who themselves are too consumed in their own misfortunes
Too blind to see that others near them are in need much more than they
The lives of those who hide behind masks of indifference
Those who are temerarious and brash, throwing their lives away with reckless abandon
Or simply living life in deluded frivolities-
They who hide behind walls or books, conceit and arrogance
those whose eyes and words tell tale of secret fears and loneliness
of doubts about oneself or little insecurities- they cannot hide from her
They cannot elude the scrutiny of her observation
They cannot hope to escape her wandering thoughts and sympathy
For in that little heart is an overflowing fountain of love and joy
She craves to spill it all around her and beyond
watering the plants her heavenly father bid her to
watching together as flower buds flourish and softly flutter open
