Words said to hurt
Words said to mend
Words we suddenly blurt
Words we say to offend
Why do words hold so much power?
They can kill or save
So many words per hour
Words in hearts engrave
Many by words have been hurt
Some by words have been saved
Our mean words we should convert
As Christians we, the way, should pave
Let’s choose our words to make a difference
To shed a light in life
So others can have the chance
To know the love of Jesus Christ
