Civil War

Women in black
Corpses laying all around
Buildings with a crack
They all fall to the ground

Abe Lincoln got elected
The South began to break away
Thats what they selected
On one important day

As the South began to break away
The battles began
Women wore black and gray
Grieving for evey man

The slaves wanted freedom
They tried to run away
Some had no wisdom
And went home another way

The war finally ended
Every single slave was free
Thats what North promulgated
And now they work anywhere they see

Then the Reconstruction Era began
The slaves didn't know
They were bound to their masters as any man
They were still in a tow

When would this end
No one clearly knows the solution
But if they would Mr. Bollinger's class attend
They would see the clarification
