13 WAYS OF LOOKING AT A CHRISTIANS INTENTIONS
My intentions are honorable, stuck to me with a seal.
But my actions don't show my intentions are real.
"My intention is LOVE, I am a teacher."
But then she became a hateful preacher.
"My intention is JOY, I am a cheerleader."
But then hid with her smile and became an attention seeker.
"My intention is PEACE, I am an upperclassmen walking down the hall."
But he never cared to respect who he shoved, even when they'd fall.
"My intention is PATIENCE, I am a perfectionist."
But then felt unacceptable, he aimed too high, and then he missed.
"My intention is KINDNESS, I am a father."
But when he got angry at his wife, he didn't even bother.
"My intention is GOODNESS, I am the girl in the back row."
But her cutting problem got worse and thought no one would know.
"My intention is FAITHFULNESS, I am the one that always gives up."
But he didn't see a reason for believing God would fill his empty cup.
"My intention is GENTLENESS, I am the babysitter."
But her patience was cut short, she didn't mean to hit her.
"My intention is SELF-CONTROL, I am a struggling man."
But he knew prostitution was wrong and didn't try to understand.
"My intentions are all of theirs, I am the one who observes these falls."
But the actions are not there... hypocrite one, hypocrite all.
A poem by Rachel from Mansfield, Ohio
Every one, they all were Christians.
Fallen intentions we clearly saw.
Where were the fruitful actions?
Against such things, there is no law!
(Galatians 5: 22-23)
