All For You
I will lift my voice
To praise you more
You saved me from
A life I could have led in sin
But still I fell
Even though I recognized
The darkness within
How many times can I
Come back looking for forgiveness
And then go on back to what I'm doing
Even though I know it's wrong?
But I don't know what to do
I want to be loved for who I am
Not just because I'm their own flesh and blood
I want to cry a thousand tears
And then a million more
But the walls I built to hold others out
Have locked my tears away.
I want to scream until my
Voice is gone
Damaged beyond repair.
Just because nothing tragic has happened
Doesn't mean I'm not hurting
I want to sing until my heart breaks
To move people
Make them feel what I feel
But I'm not sure I've got what it takes.
I want to fly above the clouds
Into Your loving arms Lord
What I prayed tonight still stands:
It's all for You.
