How I Got Started

I had a revelation today; one that not too many teenage girls have because they are so wrapped up in drama and crisis! I had a "God moment" a few hours ago. I was called into the ministry about at the early months of being sixteen. God revealed this to me through his word. Acts 26:16 told me to get up and witness. This provided nothing but mixed thoughts and provoked a lot of "how?" questions. Then, after almost a year's time, my prayer for direction was answered through the most peaceful voice I've heard: my dad's. He had been asking me what I wanted to do in life, after high school , that is. My heart was set on psychology because I have a passion for helping people. This did not satisfy him in the least.

"You are entirely too creative to be that structured!" he exclaimed. I pondered that thought for a minute and replied, "Okay dad, what do you propose I do? I'm not an artist, I don't sing!" Then, I got my answer..."You need to be a writer" he continued. Wow, I thought. I've been writing since i can remember, what better talent to use for God's kingdom? The thrill and excitement overwhelmed me. Writing is such a passion of mine, and I cannot wait to see where the Lord takes this.
